COVID-19 preprints under consideration at Scientific Reports
The COVID-19 pandemic represents a significant and urgent threat to global health. At Scientific Reports, we believe that preprint servers and journals serve their authors and readers most effectively when they work together, and that this is especially the case at this unusual and challenging time. We strive to enable fast and direct access to the latest available research, evidence, and data. We also aim to encourage wider involvement in the peer review process as we anticipate that our authors will take comments on preprints into account to strengthen their work, promoting wider scrutiny of preprints and more holistic review of new findings .
As such, this website highlights preprints of COVID-19 related submissions currently under review at Scientific Reports, at the discretion of our in-house team. This page links to preprints hosted on a preprint server, which are currently undergoing peer review at Scientific Reports.
The findings listed have yet to be thoroughly evaluated, nor has a decision on ultimate publication been made. Therefore, the results reported should not be considered conclusive, and these findings should not be used to inform clinical practice, or public health policy, or be promoted as verified information.
Additionally, we are also currently welcoming submissions to a COVID-19 Collection which will bring together advances in the tools being developed to combat the pandemic – from methods of detection, to potential treatment – updates relating to current events and epidemiological research, and insights into the virus’ origin, evolution and biology.
